Planta de Situación. Location Plan 5 0 10 20 m PLANNING AND RELATIONSHIP WITH THE CITY The location corresponds to a sector with an original predominance of old summer houses in the Sarrià neighbourhood. Intervention occurs in this process of inevitable transformation. The volumetry consists of two practically identical buildings that maintain a distance of about three meters between them. This space lightens the volumetry and articulates volumes that move and rotate between them, following the movement of the sun, relating and respecting each other at the same time. The entrance consists of a gentle ramp that makes vehicle and pedestrian access compatible at the same time, with occasional disembarkation for those who wish. The perimeter of the site is delimited by an old stone wall, a partial vestige of the fence of the Agell family estate, where Gaudí had never designed the house. With the presence of the wall, the contact of the building with the ground disappears and, therefore, the volumetry of the street moves away, contributing to the integration and relationship with the neighboring buildings. MATERIALS The intervention proposes the use of ceramics as an element capable of providing insulation, sealing, durability, and character. The relationship with the exposed steel structure shows rationality, truthfulness, and consideration for traditional construction. The chosen color is a reddish grey that is close to the colors of the trunks of the usual trees in this area.
