The building is located on the edge of the urban complex, directly related to the train tracks. Its location is a clear conditioning factor in the morphological configuration of the block. Despite being a linear work, where the longitudinal sense prevails in the grouping of the dwellings, the building acquires a singular layout. The complex breaks the orthogonal parallelepiped condition through an elaborate strategy of staggering the layout of the housing units on the ground plan. A façade is created, clearly, at the back, that looks towards the train tracks, with small, cut-out openings in the smooth mortar walls, which correspond to service rooms and avoid a direct relationship with the railway infrastructure. However, the main or front façade appears more permeable, with the large openings, sometimes accompanied by terraces, are oriented and direct the gaze towards the free spaces of the urban complex without any perception of the noisy traffic of the trains. The staggering or break in the linearity of the façade allows one dwelling to look out over the other, achieving total privacy between them. This strategy, both volumetric and functional, breaks up the urban scale of the building, giving it a more domestic and friendly character. It is interesting to note the wide range of openings that are apparently disordered in the elevations, but which respond to strict functionalism of the lighting conditions and orientation of the rooms. Horizontal windows, square windows and floor-to-ceiling windows are combined. In the protruding volumes of the block, a double shade of mortar is used on the façade to create a large-scale, altarpiece-like order that integrates the lighting openings arranged tangentially to the edges of the block.
